Arizona Museum of Natural History

HOME SCHOOL DISCOUNTS

The Arizona Museum of Natural History makes an excellent field trip location for Home Schoolers. Our galleries are tied to current Arizona State Academic Standards and are a perfect way to reinforce learning.

Visitors will discover a wealth of attractions, including life-sized dinosaur replicas, prehistoric mammals, a geology section featuring stunning minerals and cave formations, and artifacts from ancient civilizations. Students can witness working paleontologists in action, interact with knowledgeable volunteers and staff, and explore a spectacular three-story waterfall that simulates a flash flood. Come discover an adventure designed to captivate and educate!

Affidavit Students

Children 6 years old to 16 years old qualify for the discount. Adults serving as educators or chaperones also receive the discount. Children younger than six or older than 16  are welcome at regular priced admission.

Arizona law requires a notarized affidavit of intent to homeschool to be filed with the county school superintendent. To receive the discount, please bring a copy of this affidavit and present it to the Guest Experience staff.

Please note. That these rates do not apply to daycare, day camps, or other similar programs.

Field trips (affidavit students) are available Tuesday – Friday year-round. These are Self-Guided Field Trips at the cost of $6 per person

ESA Students

If you are an ESA family, we encourage you to visit the museum at our General Admission rate and submit your receipt for reimbursement in the prescribed way.

An itemized receipt is available upon request. Our receipts do not contain the child's name. AZMNH makes no guarantee that the ESA program will accept the receipt for reimbursement.

Please note. The ESA program is part of the State of Arizona education system and is not operated by AZMNH. ESA has its own criteria.
