The Arizona Museum of Natural History Internship Program offers hands-on experience for emerging museum and science professionals. Interns work alongside staff in anthropology and paleontology building real-world skills while exploring future career paths.

Information on Fall 2026 Intern Session will be posted in April of 2026.

Internship duration: 10 weeks in fall of 2026

  • One personal statement of interest
  • Resume – include volunteer work
  • One letter of recommendation
  • Two references we can contact – preferably one professional, and one personal

Explore the wonders of the natural world past and present and step into your future in a science or museum career. Apply for an internship at the AZMNH. AZMNH is offering internships for 20 to 40 hours per week for 10 weeks.

Internships are offered in the following areas: Anthropology, Paleontology.

Requirements:

  • 18+ years of age
  • ​​​​​​​GED or HS diploma**
  • Complete application
  • Fingerprint and background screen
  • Interview
  • Orientation and onboarding 

*Conditions apply

**Written exceptions considered 

AZDPS Fingerprint clearance card is desirable but not required.
